Autoimmune Diseases

What do Asthma, Food Allergies, Eczema, Psoriasis, Lupus, Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis have in common? They are all auto immune diseases. Auto immune diseases have at least two main causes:

  1. Changes in the individual’s protein, which is then seen as foreign by the immune system.
  2. A hyperactive or hypervigilant immune system that attacks the person’s own protein as if it were foreign. One reason for this is poor adrenal function. Adrenal steroids modulate (slow down, placate) the immune system. When there is not enough of these steroids the immune system goes berserk.

We diagnose these conditions with Antinuclear Antibody, Food Allergy Tests (blood) , sed rate, and various other blood tests, as well as saliva adrenal stress tests.

Treatment is individualized, and normaly avoids prescription medicines.

Dr. Manso Recommends

In search of the perfect human diet, Victoria Boutenko compares the standard American diet with the diet of wild chimpanzees. Chimpanzees share an estimated 99.4% of genes with humans, but their diet is dramatically different from ours. The most glaring difference is that chimpanzees consume significantly more green leaves than humans. Based on these observations, Victoria has developed a series of green smoothie recipes that enable anyone to consume the necessary amount of greens in a palatable way.
